St Joseph's School for the blind
learning to be all we can be

Just for Families

HOW MUCH DO SERVICES COST?

St. Joseph's educational programs are absolutely free-of-charge** to parents and families.

This includes transportation to and from the student’s home or the School's residence at Concordia House and the school. Education costs are partially subsidized by the student’s local school district. Meals, snacks, accommodations, health services, and our wide-ranging academic education and independence skills and pre-vocational programs, are all free. Even though it is expensive to provide special education services, due mainly to our small and intimate class sizes and one-on-one educational practices, our fund-raising efforts ensure that our programs remain free-of-charge.

We are fortunate to receive funds from a wide range of events, particularly our annual Phil Rizzuto Golf Tournament and Awards Dinner which brims with celebrities. Other funds come from local school districts, state and federal special funds, in addition to private grants and individual donations from a loyal following of supporters. Of course we continue to need all the financial help we can get in order to provide the finest and most up-to-date educational programs, services, resources and facilities, so our students can truly “learn to be all they can be.”

We continue to need and welcome your help and support!

** EIP Services require a state-mandated co-pay to the state of New Jersey.
