DO THE STUDENTS MEET OTHER PEOPLE?

One of our primary goals is the ultimate integration of our students into the community, so we have developed a wide range of socialization opportunities. In addition to our special school events and concerts, students participate in trips to local and regional festivals, fairs, plays and shows; visit parks, restaurants, shopping malls, and attend sports activities.

Some students practice their orientation and mobility skills in nearby neighborhoods and on public transportation, in addition to enhancing their pre-vocational skills at local employment facilities. “Learning to be all we can be” requires the constant stimulation of new experiences and new people and this is what we provide at Concordia Learning Center — every single day!
