On Wednesday June 3, 2009 a group of our students went on a unique and informative trip.  They visited the radio studio in Newark New Jersey called WBGO, Jazz 88.3 FM (www.wbgo.org).

On this trip the students got a chance to take a tour of the station and meet their gracious hosts, Mr. Thruston Briscoe, Program Director, Grey Johnson, Membership Director, and DJ Rhonda Hamilton.

They asked many great questions and got very insightful answers as to how a station is run, how a program is prepared, and what equipment is used to make a radio station broadcast throughout the airwaves.
